Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) has made it into the QS Global Master of Business Administration (MBA) Rankings top 30 list this year.
The Nanyang MBA programme offered by NTU’s Nanyang Business School climbed to 30th place, moving up 13 places from last year, making it one of Asia's top 4 MBA programmes.
The Nanyang MBA is ranked highly for thought leadership (24th position) and diversity (29th) internationally. The programme’s biggest improvements are in the Return on Investment and Employability indicators, which jumped 37 places and 10 places respectively from the previous year to 44th and 39th positions. The Return on Investment indicator measures the average return on investment and payback period achieved by graduates, while the Employability score is based on employers’ reputation and employment rate.
Professor Christina Soh, Dean of Nanyang Business School, said, “The Nanyang MBA programme has been steadily rising in the QS Global MBA rankings, despite intense competition from our international peers. This steady upward trajectory is a testament to our growth as a premier business school, and the hard work of all our students, staff, and partners.
As a leading MBA programme in Asia, the Nanyang MBA empowers business leaders with the know-how to stay relevant, innovate for the future and lead with impact in a rapidly changing world. We are committed to providing a transformational learning experience that focuses on tech and innovation and cultural dexterity, with a strong emphasis on personal leadership development. Our faculty's research and thought leadership have strong implications for practice, so our MBA graduates take the latest knowledge with them as they begin to lead their organisations.”
A Nanyang MBA alumnus, Nigel Dsouza, Senior Advisor, Global S&P Product Group Controller, Dell Technologies, said, “My MBA application began with a quote by Isaac Newton: ‘If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants’. Indeed, the Nanyang MBA provided me a platform to develop my capabilities and open new opportunities in my career. A focus on learning by doing, I was able to work on multiple projects and intern with different industries which made it easier for me to identify the right opportunity. My post-MBA journey from an intern to a full-time member of the Dell family was possible with the application of skills and knowledge gained during my time with the Nanyang Business School. I was able to make an impact in the projects and roles assigned to me and build strong relationships with my mentors and peers. The Nanyang MBA enabled me to switch industry and job function while providing me with the skillset to thrive and grow.”
Each year, Nanyang Business School admits about 80 participants from 20 nationalities to its Nanyang MBA programme.
The programme is taught by a diverse team of local and international faculty with extensive business experience and deep research expertise in innovation and management practices.
Published annually, this year’s QS Global MBA Rankings ranked 258 MBA programmes from 40 countries according to five key indicators – employability, return on investment, entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, thought leadership, and class and faculty diversity.
