‚ÄčNTU spin-off company develops ceiling fan that speeds up cooling while saving energy

A UFO-shaped bladeless ceiling fan called Vortec that is one-sixth the size of a conventional fan consumes only 42 watts, half the energy of a conventional fan yet generates twice as much airflow. Invented by ERI@N co-director Choo Fook Hoong, the fan uses a vortex to generate air flow.
