​'Hedgehog' genes prick NTU scientist's mind

Professor Philip Ingham, who is now vice-dean of research at NTU’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, was the first scientist in Britain to use zebrafish in developmental biology research, and one of the first in the world. His research has allowed other scientists to discover how mutations and faults in the hedgehog genes lead to cancer.
