NTU team's findings boosts search for effective drug against dengue

Research by a team from NTU into finding a way to treat dengue has found that a routine lab procedure actually lowers the accuracy of data obtained about how the virus that causes the disease works. This discovery by the team, led by Asst Prof Luo Dahai from NTU's Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, could boost the quest for an effective drug against dengue. The findings could also pave the way to develop drugs for other diseases such as Zika and yellow fever.
